About Hydraulic Seeding and Its Benefits
Hydraulic seeding allows for the sowing of grass or virtually any erosion control seed, including native grasses, wildflowers, roadside blends, erosion control mixes, shaded lawn seeds, sports field blends, and pasture mixes. Hydraulic seeding mulch helps keep the soil moist, allowing seeds to germinate quickly. Hydraulic seeding contains the seed mix, fertilizer, tackifier, and dye and is sprayed onto the soil. The slurry can be transported by truck or helicopter. Fluotechnik offers dyeing services and provides specific shades of green to meet customer needs.

Compared to dry seeding, hydraulic seeding enables faster germination, better seed-to-soil contact, uniform application, better moisture retention, and is easier to keep in place in challenging areas such as slopes. Hydro-seeding is less expensive than sod installation and requires less watering than sod.
