About pond dyes
Application is easy : simply pour the dye into the pond. It will dissolve and diffuse into the water. The first application in spring will start to fade after a few months, sometimes sooner.

Colour is lost through biodegradation and dilution by rainwater. Additional applications will allow the pond to retain the desired blue colour. The colour prevents algae and aquatic plant growth in late summer by preventing sunlight from reaching deeper water and starting plant germination. Our pond dyes are derived from food grade dyes and can be used in ponds used for fishing, swimming or livestock watering.
